Description (Service) | * The mission of the Council on Aging is to act as a co-ordination, education, advocacy, and research body to enhance the quality of life of seniors in Windsor-Essex County, in order that each person has the opportunity to achieve full potential in enjoying life, participating in, and contributing to it. * Speakers are available for presentations, workshops, and various discussions on aging. * The goal of these informative sessions is to help people develop a positive view of their own aging process, expose false and negative stereotypes regarding aging, and promote and encourage positive attitudes. * The Council on Aging also provides various services aimed toward seniors and increasing awareness on topics such as falls prevention.
