| Description (Service) | Street Help / Unit 7 Homeless Services, is a Self-Help organization run primarily by and for persons who are or who have been homeless. Provides outreach street patrol services to the homeless such as: * sleeping bags * back packs * socks * seasonal clothing * Dinner to Go (see details here) * information on local services for the homeless Drop-in centre provides: * computers * internet * breakfast * hot meals * bottomless coffee & snacks * safe storage of personal items * hygiene products when available * shower facility during agency hours * advocacy * referrals to community services * daily food distribution to homeless individuals Most staff are persons who are or who have been homeless and offer an environment of peer fellowship with full comprehension of the issues homeless people face on a daily basis Accepts donations to provide for the Homeless |
