Description (Service) | Dental services covered under this program will include the following: * Examinations/assessments * Preventive services (e.g., cleanings) * Restorative services to repair broken teeth and cavities * X-rays * Oral surgery services to remove teeth or abnormal tissue * Anaesthesia * Endodontic services to treat infection and pain * Periodontal services to treat gum conditions and diseases * Prosthodontic services, including dentures, will be partially covered See here for more information |
Hours | Clinic Hours Leamington: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (closed 12 noon to 1 pm) Windsor: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 8:00 pm (open during the lunch hour) |

Eligibility | Ages: 65 year(s) and up Applicants must meet the following criteria: * Ontario resident * Annual household income less than $19,300 for an individual or $32,300 for couples * Not have dental benefits through private insurance or other government programs * Eligible seniors will receive a dental card confirming their enrolment in the program |
Application | Seniors will be able to apply online from the Ministry of Health or the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit https://www.wechu.org/dental/ontario-seniors-dental-care-program * seniors can also get a paper copy at one of the three offices of the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (Windsor, Essex, Leamington) * a provincial processing centre will handle all of the completed application forms and will verify the applicant’s income *seniors who qualify will be mailed a welcome package and a dental card. |
