| Description (Service) | Windsor Essex Community Health Centre, Teen Health: * Provides Primary Care and Mental Health/Counselling (individual and group) for youth. * These services include support and treatment for youth and their family as well as programs to support parents and guardians of youth. Services for youth ages 12-24 years. * Primary Health Care Services * Counseling Services * Sexual Health/Education * Mental Health/Counselling (individual and group) * Eating Disorders * Substance Abuse * Parent Support * Pre-Post Natal for young moms * Individual Nutrition Counselling Services Include: * Annual Health Exams (physicals) * General health concerns (ex. Sore throat, flu, etc) * Information on birth control and abstinence * Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) * Pelvic examinations * Pregnancy tests, counseling regarding pregnancy and prenatal care * Depression and anxiety assessment * Acne and skin care * Sports injuries and nutrition * Sexuality and puberty information * Hepatitis C education and treatment . * Diabetes education * Teen Counseling |
