Description (Service) | The African Community Organization of Windsor (ACOW) is a Charity established for the purpose of: * Promoting the unity and solidarity of Africans in Windsor-Essex * Providing settlement support and referrals to established agencies for the orientation, job preparations, and other community services to immigrants, refugees and displaced persons of African descent in the Windsor-Essex region * Advocating with the Canadian government and authorities on behalf of immigrants, refugees and displaced persons of African descent * Participating in and doing charitable activities for the betterment of our African and multicultural communities in Windsor-Essex * Safeguarding the interests and rights of its members in Canada * Addressing any other special interests to the group or individual members at any time |
