| Description (Service) | The Language Assessment and Resource Centre * Is the designated CLARS (Coordinated Language Assessment and Referral System) centre for Windsor, Leamington and Chatham-Kent. * Assists clients in addressing their language needs by assessing their language skills. Assessments * Based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks and involve speaking, listening, reading and writing * Assessments can take up to more than three hours After the Assessment * Results of the assessment will be explained. * Options for language training within the region will be discussed including Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada(LINC), Enhanced Language Training (ELT) and/or English as a Second Language(ESL) |
