| Description (Service) | Connect job seekers and employers throughout the Sarnia-Lambton area. Services are designed to assist with career exploration possibilities and developing skills and confidence. Staff can assist with personalized services to support employment or employee recruitment needs. Offer employment services to assist in preparing for, obtaining and keeping a job. These services may consist of an employment needs assessment, the development of a Return to Work Plan, individual employment consulting, advice about job loss, retraining and education, job search techniques, labour market information, job placement services, and on-the-job follow up. Job Retention supports is available when continued employment or advancement is unlikely to succeed without further assistance. Eligible individuals can expect support and mentoring to promote long-term employment based on developing experience, workplace skills, capabilities and confidence. Additional services: •Identifying and clarifying interests, abilities, skills, and education in relation to short and long-term career goals •Exploring training requirements •Facilitating skills that support successful employment •Job search tools such as resumes, interviews, job search strategies •On-the-job training opportunities •Placement support in resolving workplace issues to ensure a successful match •Support to remove work related barriers • FREE Online Training Portal is available to update all work-related training to remain job ready. • Job Board where you will find listings of current job opportunities. |
