| Description (Service) | Relieves distress and promotes the well-being of Members and Former Members of the Naval Forces of Canada and their dependents * provides grants, loans and bursaries to those in need |

| Eligibility | * Former or serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have one year service in Maritime Command or the RCN; * Former or serving members of the Royal Canadian Navy, providing they completed basic training; * Former or serving members of the Naval Reserve who have completed basic training; * Former members of the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service; * Canadian Merchant Navy War Veterans; * Dependants of any individual who qualifies for assistance as described above |

All other applications for assistance should be made through the Department of Veterans Affairs, Royal Canadian Legions or Naval Organizations. |
