| Description (Service) | Volunteer-based program which provides support for newcomers to Canada * assists youth and adult clients with adjusting to life in Canada * helps to establish professional and social networks One-on-one and facilitated group activities * match program that connects newcomers with Canadian volunteers to learn Canadian values and traditions, learn about community resources and practice speaking English * conversation circles to practice English and make social connections Youth Program - supports newcomer youth to adapt, integrate and overcome barriers associated with transition to a new country * provides volunteer opportunities, physical activities, social events, educational workshops and clubs Ongoing recruitment and training of volunteers |
