Description (Service) | Programming for children and youth * affordable recreational, social and educational programs that promote physical and emotional well-being Facilities include:
Operates full-day camp programs for March, summer and winter breaks as well as PD days and Easter Monday * children with disabilities are welcome in all programs Koats for Kids – Distributes coats to children in need every year in mid/late fall * call for specific dates and times of distribution * proof of age of children is required Swim Lessons – Offered through the Life Saving Society on Tue and Sat year round Digital Creative Arts Centre – Programming for children and youth including music recording, drop-in jam sessions, guitar and ukulele lessons Youth Programs – Homework help, computers, access to internet * access to sports, gym, weight room * leadership activities, out trips, and specialty clubs After School Bus Program - Service is available at various schools throughout London, providing free transportation to and from the Club on Horton St for members of the club * visit website for schedule Evening Adventure - After School Program - After school program for children Leadership Program - Provides youth with training opportunities, work experience and skill development through experiential learning within the Boys and Girls Club facility and community partnerships * Junior Leadership (grades 6-8) and Senior Leadership (grades 9-12) programs available * low or no cost training and certificates also available Social Programs - Programs for children and youth * program times are subject to change Supper Club - Hot, nutritious meal provided to children and youths attending evening programs during the school year Teen Zone - Programming for teens including homework help, computers, access to internet, games, music and other activities * access to sports, gym, rock climbing, swimming pool, weight room * leadership activities, out trips, and specialty clubs Volunteers - Volunteer opportunities for youth * volunteers assist with other programs in recreation, nutrition, social programs, and creative and digital arts * must attend orientation and obtain a police check (18 years and older) after speaking to the Volunteer Coordinator |
