| Description (Service) | Program of Cancer Care Ontario: * breast cancer screening program * breast assessment program * dedicated to reducing deaths from breast cancer through early detection * provides two view digital mammography (breast x rays) * letters of invitation (50 and over who should be screened) * appointment bookings * coordination of follow up tests for screen detected abnormalities (result notification) * screening interval risk assessment * automatic recall (Hospital automated system for those who have had assessments in the past) * accredited by the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) to maintain high quality assurance standards |
