Description (Service) | * the Migrant Worker Community program is to provide a more positive balance to the life of the migrant workers by offering social, cultural, recreational and communication opportunities and to build cultural bridges with their host communities. Our services and programs include: * Conducting Introductory Spanish Level 1 courses * Hosting: an annual Health and Information Fair (Spring) an annual Fiestas Patrias Celebration (September) * Organizing day trips to Niagara Falls, Point Pelee National Park and Windsor * Participating in an annual picnic and sports day for Thai migrant workers * Providing: liaison services to relevant service providers interpretation/translation service at medical appointments free on-site bicycle safety workshops and reflective tape for bicycles * Sponsoring: a four-team baseball league a seven-team basketball tournament for Filipino migrant workers |
