| Description (Service) | COVID-19: Until further notice, the thrift stores are closed and donations will not be accepted during the Province Wide Lockdown. /A> Food, Clothing and Furniture Assistance: to those in need based on financial need, and current situation. Operation Cover Up: provide gently used winter coats to families in need. Budget (Trustee) Management Program: Assists clients with financial matters. Waiting list for clients. Housing support program: Provides assistance in matters relating to housing (rental lists, landlord/tenant issues). Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) applications for hydro and gas. Emergency assistance for utility and rental arrears. Youth Support Program: Offers support to youth in all areas (budget management, life skills, housing needs, family support and crisis management). Advocacy and mentoring available to youth ages 16-21. Summer Camps: Assists with sending children to residential summer camp in Jackson's Point/Huntsville. Christmas Assistance: Provides families with food hampers and toys (for children up to age 12). Application required with identification, proof of income and expenses. Shower Facilities: Available for homeless individuals. Cooking classes and a computer lab also available. |
